Lakes Fall Baseball Boot Camp powered by Walled Lake Central Varsity BB - Fall 2025

This one-day baseball camp is led by the Walled Lake Central Varsity Baseball coaching staff and players. The Lakes Fall Baseball Boot Camp is designed to help players sharpen their skills, learn from high-level instructors, and compete in a fun, high-energy environment. Open to players aged 7 through 6th grade. 

Date: Saturday, November 8th

Location: Walled Lake Central HS

Camp 1: Hitting + Base Running (9AM-11:45AM)

Lunch: 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM

(Campers may bring lunch or leave and return for Camp 2)

Camp 2: Defense + Pitching (12:45PM-3:30PM)

Price: $70 per camp, $120 for both camps (w/ t-shirt)

Fundamentals Factory Powered by Avery Baseball - Fall II 2025

NEW! Join coach Mark Avery for a brand-new offering designed exclusively for our youngest players, ages 6 through 8. This six-week program will put their development on the fast track. Drills heavy in fundamentals, throwing, hitting, pitching will be offered. Lots of opportunity for individual instruction. Whether your child is a beginner or has played since tee-ball, Fundamentals Factory powered by Avery Baseball is something that will take their game to a whole new level. Remember - players are made during the offseason! 

Coach Avery played collegiate baseball for Wayne State University for four years and earned an opportunity to be signed by the Detroit Tigers in 1993 as a professional baseball player. His minor league career spanned three years. Mark has coached nearly 30 years.

Lakes Instructional Clinics - Annual 2025

Lakes Instructional Clinic Series

Lakes will occasionally offer fundamental clinics for players on weekends between our scheduled house seasons, school holidays and over school breaks. Each of these clinics may have a different format. Many of them will be run by our passionate Lakes volunteer coaches. Clinics are great for both players starting out their baseball journey or for more experienced players looking for reps in a structured environment. 

Pop-Up Clinics are outdoor clinics held at Hickory Glen Park or Janowski Field. These clinics will cover infield instruction, baserunning, extensive tee work and other fundamental drills and will also include simulated game reps or scrimmages (depending on the number of kids who are signed up). These will often be scheduled last minute when we know the weather will be nice for being outdoors. 

Upcoming Clinics

November Instructional Clinic Series @ On The Dunes 
Held Saturday evenings 6:30-8 PM at On the Dunes on Haggerty Road in Commerce, this clinic series will cover specific fundamentals weekly during a 90-minute station based format. Open to ages 7-11 kids will be grouped with other players at their experience level or playing level. Each clinic will have a main focus on the fundamentals listed but will include other instruction too including dynamic warmups, classroom style situational instruction, batting, and more. These will be led by Lakes volunteer coaches. All registrations will include a t-shirt. 

Sat, November 1st - Hitting/Hitting Mechanics
Sat, November 8th - Pitching/Catching
Sat, November 15th - Defense, footwork and baserunning.

Winter 2026 5U/6U Tee-Ball/Coach Pitch - Winter 2026

INDOOR 5U/6U TEE-BALL/COACH PITCH

This brand-new Lakes offering is the perfect first step into the world of Lakes Baseball for the beginner, as well as an opportunity for a player that has played over the past spring, summer or fall to polish their skills and continue to grow over the winter and have fun and remain active while doing so. This will be a fast-paced tee-ball and coach pitch offering that will focus on fundamentals, baserunning and hitting, all while developing character, sportsmanship and love of the game. 

During games, players will be offered a few coach pitches before a batting tee is brought out.

Potential outdoor practices could be scheduled in March at different times depending on weather conditions and at coach's discretion/availability.

Teams will be coached by Lakes volunteer coaches. Registration fee includes a Lakes dri-fit t-shirt. Spaces are VERY limited as we can only field two teams. 

House - Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

2026 Lakes Spring Baseball

Join us for what promises to be one of the best spring seasons in Lakes history.

Teams will be assigned in late March and practices will begin in early April. Practice dates and times are at the discretion of the team's coach/manager. All players registered will also be invited to our preseason spring kickoff event at D-Bat (date TBD)

Games begin in mid-April.  There will be 2 games per week. Our spring season also includes an All-Star event (at most levels), team picture day (digital images for purchase), and postseason (7U and up). 

5U, 6U and 7U will typically play games Friday evenings AND Saturdays; other levels will play games on Saturdays and select weekdays (primarily Wednesdays and Fridays)*

Games will be primarily at Hickory Glen Park but could be at other fields including Shepherd of the Lakes Church Field, Long Field and Janowski Park. Select levels may partner with other local leagues so teams could have a couple of 'away' games at their fields.

There will be NO games over the Memorial Day weekend.

When completing your registration, remember that Jersey sizes are for the player. This year players will receive a jersey and hat. We do NOT supply pants with registration. We will have pants and sweatshirts available in our store (not at the time of registration). Pants can also be obtained during our Dick's Sporting Goods and Dunham's Sports 20% off weekends (coupon to be provided at a later time). 

This year we will not be doing a 50/50 drawing.

2026 Lakes Spring Training - Winter II 2026

Lakes Spring Training

Get out of the cold and snow and dust off your mitt. Lakes Spring Training is an opportunity for our players to sharpen their skills and get back into the swing of baseball before the Lakes spring season begins in early April. Lakes Spring Training, held at On The Dunes in Commerce, will be a station based fundamental program where children will move to different stations with a focus on fielding, hitting and throwing for 90 minutes a week. Stations may vary slightly week to week but hitting and throwing will be components of all of them.

- TWO separate group sessions -3:30-5PM Saturdays for 4-8 Year Old Players and 6:30-8 PM Saturdays for 9-12 Year Old Players

Each registration is separate, sign up for one or all six! Each week's registration also comes with a Lakes t-shirt that is perfect for wearing to practices during the upcoming Lakes season! These clinics will be run by Lakes volunteer coaches including some of your children's favorite coaches.

Lakes Athletics travel division, known as the Legends, registration is invitation only. By registering, you are fulfilling the requirement of completing the code of conduct agreement and supplying your contact information.
